MUSÉE ZADKINE: A WORKSHOP-MUSEUM

Dedicated to the memory and the work of the Russian sculptor Ossip Zadkine (1890-1967), this workshop-museum has nevertheless remained true to its original double identity, a place to live and create, something visitors appreciate enormously, seduced by the atmosphere that emerges. It’s one of the rare sculptor’s workshops - along with Antoine Bourdelle’s - that has been preserved in Paris, a testimony to the Montparnasse of artists.
A new path awaits visitors, unfolding around a garden oasis of this place of memory and charm. In the nakedness of the spaces restored to their original volumes, under the light of the glass roofs that bring the artworks to life to the rhythm of the seasons, wood, stones and earth communicate, silently returning to the world of the workshop.
